Us"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Hornsey Town Hall Trust (HTHT), a registered charity (number 1133610) and company limited by guarantee (number 06212771), is an independent buildings preservation trust that was formed in 2007.\u00a0 \u00a0The Trust grew out of the Community Partnership Board and, before that, an Advisory Panel which was set up to try and find a long-term, sustainable future for Hornsey Town Hall which met community aspirations. \u00a0 The Trust, and its predecessors, have been working on this project for almost twenty years.<\/p>\n<p>Its Directors and trustees are made up of local residents, some of whom were members of the voluntary Community Partnership Board (CPB), an advisory body which previously worked in partnership with the London Borough of Haringey (LBH) on plans for the regeneration and renewal of Hornsey Town Hall.<\/p>\n<p>Trustees agreed to change its name from Hornsey Town Hall Creative Trust (HTHCT) to Hornsey Town Hall Trust at a meeting on 1 March 2018.\u00a0 Our\u00a0 Articles of Association (approved by Companies House and the Charity Commission) are here:\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/hornsey-town-hall.org.uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/08\/Hornsey_Town_Hall_Trust_Mem_and_Articles_June_2018.pdf\">Hornsey_Town_Hall_Trust_Mem_and_Articles_June_2018<\/a><\/p>\n<p>At an EGM held on 21 June 2018, trustees agreed to amend the way councillors are appointed to the Trust; this has also been approved by the Charity Commission and Companies House.\u00a0 Now that the Town Hall project has moved into a new phase, this move gives us the opportunity to widen councillor representation on the board and invite up to two councillors from right across the borough.\u00a0 Two Crouch End ward councillors will sit on the Town Hall Arts Centre steering group when it is convened at a future date.<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<table class=\"text\" border=\"0\" width=\"100%\" class=\"heading\"><a id=\"trust\" name=\"trust\"><\/a>The Work of the Trust<\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li>The Trust worked with Haringey Council throughout the OJEU procurement process to ensure full and appropriate restoration of Hornsey Town Hall and access and use by the community.<\/li>\n<li>The LBH owns the Town Hall and will retain the freehold when the Town Hall is restored.<\/li>\n<li>HTHT is committed to ensuring long term community access to the Town Hall and that there is a mechanism for maintaining public benefit throughout the period of the lease.\u00a0 \u00a0 This is guaranteed by the Community Use and Access Agreement which was appended to the Development Agreement when the contract was signed by FEC.<\/li>\n<li>The decision to go to OJEU procurement was taken by LBH after an Options Appraisal undertaken\u00a0undertaken by GVA on behalf of LBH (completed in November 2014) and when the Mountview Project was formally brought to end.<\/li>\n<li>\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.hornsey-town-hall.org.uk\/assets_cm\/files\/PDF\/options_appraisal_final_report_nov_2014.pdf\">options_appraisal_final_report_nov_2014.pdf<\/a><\/li>\n<li>The Trust also responded formally to the Options Appraisal report, with copies of its response also sent to Cllr Claire Kober (former Leader, LBH), Cllr Jason Arthur (formerly Cabinet Member, Resources and Culture) and Nick Walkley (former CEO, LBH).<\/li>\n<li>You can find a link to the Gateway Review here on the Haringey Council website &#8211;<a agreement with LBH to enable it to take part in the OJEU procurement which began in September 2015. \u00a0This meant the trust to help draw up the community\u00a0use criteria in the tender and be part of the evaluation and scoring team assessing bidders&#8217; responses to these community questions.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>You can find a list of the meetings HTHCT \u00a0attended in 2014 (up to 24
